dreamachine launches scientific survey to find out if my red really is the same as your red

The makers of dreamachine, the first artwork to be experienced with your eyes closed, has launched The Perception Census, a scientific study that tries to understand our sensory perception and how that shapes our lives and you are invited to participate!

You can complete a range of fun and interactive tasks that look at colour and illusion perception, time and sound, the power of imagination and more.

Not only will you be helping science, you can also get a profile so that you can better understand your own powers of perception.

The Perception Census is live now, you can take part through any computer

The Burnt City releases 2 for £100 tickets

If you’ve had no luck nabbing those elusive Time Out’s rush tickets, there’s still a chance you won’t have to pay full price for Punchdrunk’s blockbuster.

The Burnt City has released 2 tickets for £100 throughout July and August using the voucher code THEBURNTCITY100

Tickets usually start £79 each for standard tickets (they go up to a slightly eye-watering amount) so while still fairly expensive this offers a decent saving.

The Burnt City is playing in Woolwich now and tickets are available here

Raves-R-Us returns this August at Edinburgh Fringe

If you missed it at The Vaults festival… or Glastonbury this year, fear not, you can catch Raves R Us at this years Edinburgh Fringe at the Underbelly Tent.

“Toys R Us has closed down for good leaving Charlie and his mates unemployed, depressed and searching for any escape from this rundown bigot-lead society. Charlie's vision arrives fully formed. They have an abandoned warehouse, an abandoned nation... it's time to make a sanctuary, an escape... a Rave. Inspired from a true story out of Hounslow, London.

Raves R Us will combine all favourite Naughty Corner features along with an immersive setting and atmosphere to create the most energetic, original night of theatre you've ever been a part of.”

Raves R Us is playing 4-14 August at Underbelly Cowgate in the 10.10pm slot. Tickets are £7 and available here
