Immersive picks for March 2022

Spring is coming, you can almost smell it. This month’s picks is inspired by changing of the seasons which comes with a changing of shows; a whopping 4 opening and 2 closing.

Operation Black Door

Murdér Express Part Deux: Jewel of the Empire

Funicular is back with a brand new story and second chapter of their 1920s murder mystery immersive dining show The Murdér Express. It includes a new 4 course menu from MasterChef 2017 finalist Louisa Ellis.

The Jewel of the Empire opens 11 March, tickets start at £65 for dinner and the show

Operation Black Door

Held at the beating heart of WW2 British command, The Churchill War Rooms, Operation Black Door invites you take on a roll in the war effort and complete missions.

Imperial War Museums are one of the first London museums (to my knowledge anyway, comment if I’m wrong) to be putting on an immersive show. You better be quick, as it’s only on for three nights.

Operation Black Door is running from 11-13 March and tickets are £35

Circus in a Bottle

Discover one man’s struggle to make meaning of his circus past through the power of augmented reality. It’s also the first show in Parabolic Theatre’s new venue, CRYPT in Bethnal Green.

Circus in a Bottle is running 29 March to 3 April with tickets from £6.50

Mulan Rouge

More of a reopening - the immersive Disney-Baz Luhrmann mash up with accompanying dinner by Flavourology is back at The Vaults. It’s a drag-tastic, joyful cabaret show.
