Secret Cinema releases pre-sale tickets for Guardians of the Galaxy
Secret Cinema has teamed up with Disney to bring London Guardians of the Galaxy in August 2022 and presale tickets are available now!
The experience invites guests to join the Ravangers, jump into different worlds and maybe, save the galaxy? From Contraxia to Knowhere we’ll be able to discover new locations, meet fellow Ravagers, Nova Corps and maybe even the Guardians themselves while completing some “wild missions”.
It looks like there will be an element of team missions as the blurb mentions not everyone will be on your side. I love a bit of betrayal so fingers crossed.
This is the first Disney-Secret Cinema mash up since their partnership was announced back in early 2020, presumably due to the Pandemic which limited large gatherings and hit the live immersive sector particularly hard.
Interestingly they’re selling tickets just to the world itself, “the immersive experience” only as well as the usual film and immersive experience bundle.
Secret Cinema has been experimenting with different combinations of performance recently, with Stranger Things offering a more theatrical sped-through performance of the series as a big bang at the end and Bridgerton offering something similar but with the scenes split up through the evening (I thought this was a great effect and very successful).
This new option I suppose offers those who have seen the film a million times an opportunity to bow out, but I feel like it would be a shame. When we saw Casino Royale which was much more traditional with the film at the end, we were able to spot details that we hadn’t seen previously and link the worlds as well as enjoying the snazzy live acted scenes, which elevates the experience.
But that’s just me, I’m always a fan of options and super interested if people prefer this update - let me know in comments.
