Christmas 2024 Must-See Immersive Shows

OK, we're heading into peak immersive season folks. December 2024 is absolutely packed with experiences ranging from grumpy Santas to ski gondola dining (fancy!).

Here at immersed in we've sorted through the lot to bring you our top picks. We're particularly excited about the number of festive experiences that are doing something different this year (looking at you, sweary Santa).

Dead Hard - Colab Theatre

London

Dead Hard

Thursday 7th November 2024 - Saturday 25th January 2025

Colab Theatre, 1-7 France Street, Southwark

Tickets here from £29.50

A drag Die Hard parody panto. Die laughing harder than ever as the iconic Christmas film transforms into a hilarious, camp spectacle with more detonators than you can shake a stick of TNT at.

Head to the 35th floor for the office party of a lifetime or plan a fabulous heist in the basement. This is a high-energy drag parody, containing nuts and lots of them. Expect thrilling scenes, explosive encounters, comedic twists, a sprinkle of drag and a soundtrack that will have you singing along.

This is the latest show at Colab, who have a history of backing excellent shows from small companies, highly recommended.

Humbug at Truman Brewery

14 November - 31 December

Truman Brewery, Shoreditch

Tickets here from £25 (and yes, you need to be 18+)

Hidden within the walls of The Truman Brewery, there’s a secret Santa would rather keep from Mrs Claus. This one's definitely not for the kids - think Bad Santa meets immersive theatre in the atmospheric Truman Brewery.

The Great Christmas Feast by The Lost Estate

Friday 1st November 2024 – Sunday 12th January 2025

The Lost Estate, West Kensington

Tickets here from £97 for show and dinner

A night of storytelling, feasting, and Yuletide fantasy awaits. The Lost Estate folks really know how to put on a show - this one is Victorian Christmas meets fine dining, with performers who make you feel like you've stepped straight into a Dickens novel. We're particularly intrigued by the promise of "period-appropriate" dining - jellied eels and sheeps trotters all round!

Feast Off-Piste at The Berkeley

16th November 2024 - 1 January 2025

The Berkeley, Knightsbridge

Tickets here from £75 not including alcohol

Eat raclette, truffle tartiflette, chocolate fondue and gingerbread s’mores in actual ski gondolas on the Berkley terrace overlooking the bright lights of Winter Wonderland. The gondolas don’t move, but it's the closest you'll get to Alps-style dining without leaving Knightsbridge. Perfect for a special date night or when the parents are visiting (and paying).

The Rest of the UK

Polar Express Train Ride

Friday 29th November 2024 - Tuesday 24th December 2024

Wensleydale Railway, Yorkshire

Tickets here from £37

All aboard for a magical Christmas journey! Finally, a chance to experience the beloved story in real life, complete with singing chefs and hot chocolate service.

Highly Suspect Christmas Specials

6th December - 26th December

Tullie House, Carlisle, Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield, Borrowdale Hotel, Nr Keswick

Tickets here from £16 (includes three-course dinner)

Highly Suspect brings their signature sleuthing style to a yuletide setting. The victim? One Alan Scrooge. Unsurprisingly there’s no shortage of suspects, including those of the spectral persuasion. Bring your detective skills!

A traditional tale retold in a uniquely Highly Suspect way. Expect frights, fatalities and frivolities!

Scrooge - A Grave Tale of Things to Come

Friday 1st December 2024 - Tuesday 24th December 2024

Brangwyn Hall, Swansea

Tickets here from £32.50

Journey alongside Ebenezer Scrooge as he confronts his past, present, and future in this 3-course dining experience. Expect carols, visiting guest and shedloads of Christmas spirit.
